Moon’s Zen Moment…
One of the ways that I calm my mind and soul is by taking long walks (for about 1 hour) around my neighborhood. I usually take the same path, walking on the same blocks over and over again.
Recently I saw this Buddha statue in one of my neighbor’s front garden. I’m sure the statue was always there but never noticed it before even though I’ve passed the house hundreds of times. Like the Buddha under a Bodhi tree where he reached enlightenment, the statue was sitting under its own Bodhi tree. It was like finding a diamond in the rough — a wonderful hidden treasure for me.
The statue just made me feel so present in the moment and was a good reminder that all we ever have is Now, so we better relish in it.
Namaste…
A wonderful book on how you can always be in the present moment:
