Moon’s Zen Moment…
I have 6 nieces and nephews, all of whom I love dearly. My brother, Sung, had 4 kids (3 daughters and 1 son), and they are such amazing children. Since I moved to the West Coast almost 10 years ago, I almost never see them for holidays, graduations or birthdays, and my whole family has to celebrate without me, which saddens my heart. I am endlessly shipping gifts and cards.
This picture was taken when they were all less than 10 years old. Now the oldest one, Courtney, is 24 and the youngest one, Grace, is 19. They are all so grown up and finding their own path in life.
Looking at this pic and knowing they are all mature adults, it again reminds me of how fast time passes, so we need to live every moment to its fullest. It also makes me think about how our next generation — who will inherit all the problems in our world: our debt, environmental crisis, wars, poverty, etc. — will solve them.
My only hope for a better tomorrow is that our next generation of young souls will become people who embrace their calling and responsibility, serving others and contributing to their world with love and kindness.
I truly miss them…
