Moon’s Healthy Journey…
Before I go to bed every night, I say prayers out loud. I do it for 5-10 minutes. It helps me to be in touch with the Universe and affirms my life with all of its blessings. Like physical exercise to maintain a healthy body, prayers are exercise to keep my mind and soul healthy.
I especially like this prayer book by Marianne Williamson, one of my favorite contemporary spiritual authors. The prayers are simple yet full of wisdoms.
Most important, prayers at night keep my mind and soul peaceful, returning me to the flow of the Universe from a hectic day. Verbal affirmation through prayers also provides a channel to the higher powers, which is when we can find the truth within ourselves. By saying the prayers out loud, I believe that I am connecting more deeply to the higher spirits who are watching over me.
There is no secret to healthy and happy living other than to have a peaceful mind and soul. If you aren’t already doing so, try simple prayers. You do not need a prayer book to do it, but just honesty with yourself and to God. Prayer is such a simple yet highly effective way to keep ourselves mentally and spiritually strong.
