Moon’s Favorite Asian Artist…
With the stress of the holidays, I have been listening to one music over and over again to calm me down: IZ’s rendition of “Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World.” When I heard this music for the first time a couple of weeks ago, I was sooo moved that tears started rolling down my cheeks.
A Hawaiin/Asian descent, IZ was the most famous Hawaiin musical artist, but tragically died young at 38 due to extreme obesity — a deep loss because his voice is truly beautiful and angelic. My mom always says the best and talented ones sometimes go young, which is how I feel about my sister Sun’s passing.
His beautiful voice provides me with such peace, serenity, and fills up my soul with love. Most importantly, his music makes me so connected to God, my ultimate love.
IZ, your love and spirit will continue to live with the legacy of your wonderful music…
