When I am overwhelmingly stressed and anxiety-ridden, like I feel paralyzed, I can’t do a quiet meditation and hope that my stress will start to reduce. During these heightened times of stress and anxiety, I like to do a tapping meditation, where I physically tap my body, and by doing this, I am a) releasing cortisal, the stress hormone, b) acknowledging how I feel, and c) displacing the chaotic energy in my thoughts to the physical tapping.
