Even though I am not a vegetarian, one of my main proteins are beans and the Indian Chana Masala is one of my favorite bean recipes made with garbanzo beans and infused with so many spices.
INGREDIENTS:
• Garbanzo Beans (2 cups or use 2 cans)
• Vegetable stock or water or chicken stock (1 cup)
• Cumin Powder (2 tablespoons)
• Curry Powder (1 tablespoon)
• Coriander Powder (1 tablespoon)
• Clove (1 teaspoon)
• Smoked Paprika Powder (1 teaspoon)
• Ginger Powder (1 teaspoon)
• Cardamom Powder (1 teaspoon)
• Salt (1 teaspoon)
• Maple Syrup (1 tablespoon)
• Bay leaves
• Dice Tomatoes (1 can)
• Fresh Cilantro or Parsley
• Onion (1)
• Garlic (6 cloves)
