Rice is not only eaten by millions of people around the world, but in Asia, they also use it as a natural toner for their face. In this video, I am joined by Michelle Garbin, a professional make-up artist and esthetician to the stars, who shows you how to make a really simple rice toner and apply it on your face.
Moon, I love this idea. I also love jasmine rice. So, the question is, after I make the skin toner, can I finish cooking the rice and eat it? Like a 2 for the price of 1 deal?
Also, does the toner remain on the skin, or do I rinse it off after a certain amount of time?. My face definitely needs the help.
Hi Angie… Of course, you can continue to cook and eat rice, perhaps you will want to add more water. No, you do not rinse the toner off. You use the toner after you have thoroughly washed your face with soap and water. Toner is the last step!
Thanks Moon. I’ll be making some today. My face needs all the help it can get these days, and I love rice with everything. I even love to add raisins and honey to the rice and eat it that way. Yummy.
glad you’ll be trying it! I love it cause it’s so natural and no extra work for me cause I eat a lot of rice!
How long does the remaining water rice toner lasts?
Hi Theresa… It lasts for up to one week!
