Looks and sounds so good Moon. Where can I find the Japanese fish cakes? They don’t have them in my grocery. I’ve looked in all sections, but haven’t been able to find them. Is there a recipe for making them? I really want to try this recipe

Hi Angie…In Asian supermarkets–Japanese, Korean or even Chinese. Do you not have an Asian market relatively close by? Call the market before you go to make sure they have these fish cakes. I have never made them, as they must be compressed. I looked on-line but couldn’t find a place that really sells them. It’s like tofu–we buy tofu, we do not make them. Let me know if you find them.

        Hi Moon,

We have a lot of Asian restaurants, but no Asian markets that I have found. Most of the Asian people around here that I have talked to say they go to St. Louis and buy their food in bulk every 4 to 6 months, but my friends from India no longer live here, so I can’t ask them to get things for me any more. Maybe the people in my favorite Chinese restaurant would do a favor for me, but I don’t know. I will ask though, because you never know unless you ask.

Yes, maybe the Chinese people know where you can get that fish cake. It is unfortunate that you do not have a local Asian market. Let me know if you find it.
